This exciting project emerged out of the passion and desire to create a unique product, merging the experience of two worlds, through the close collaboration of UCC Spain’s Templo Cafés and Restaurante Venta Moncalvillo.
Puri Varea, UCC Spain’s Q Grader and Carlos Echapresto, National Gastronomy Award Winner in 2016 for Best Sommelier, are two experts in their own fields, who fused their experience and knowledge to create a unique product after several months of intense tasting and investigation. The result was a cup with a delightful sensory experience and a pleasant, unforgettable finish. Basically, the kind of coffee that will astound every coffee enthusiast!
Just as a good wine offers a mouthful of pleasure among the most demanding palates, the signature coffee we have created is just as rewarding – both to those who drink it after a fine meal and to those who appreciate coffee as a special beverage.
Templo Cafés signature coffee, Echapresto, has a great aroma, intensity and a wonderful presence of cream, which makes it ideal for an espresso. To be precise, it is a coffee with a rounded aroma, fruity, with hints of wood and earth and a citric note, reminiscent of bergamot and tangerine. It has a balanced mouthfeel, with a fruity and cocoa butter flavour and a hazelnut finish. It possesses a fine balance between acidity and bitterness, which makes it enjoyable across a wide range of coffee preferences.
Echapresto coffee from Templo Cafés is made from coffee beans specially selected because of their organoleptic qualities originating from the best arabica coffees plantations from Huila in Colombia and Rwenzori in Uganda. The coffee from these two origins which make up the blend are specially washed and certified and labelled as Specialty Coffee.
